Christmas Bikes

The gift to get at our house this year was "A NEW BIKE." Kelt and Nohea got new bikes and Creed just sat and watched.

A Christmas to Remember

This year Kelton loved helping me put up the Nativity Scenes...We decided together where the wise men and the shepherds went. Here he is standing in front of my Favorite Nativity. Doesn't he look proud

Just some fun pictures of them by the Christmas Tree.

A look back in time.

I've been a terrible blogger. I'm sorry that Blogging has reached the bottom of my priority list, but things have been crazy and spending the time to upload pictures just hasn't been an option. So today I am making up for lost time with a look back at the last two months!
Some of Creeds First bites! Yumm!

Little Drummer Boy

Last Night was the Christmas program for Kelton's Preschool. He was one of the Little Drummer Boys. It was so fun to watch him. While the program was going on I was feeding Creed. It was amazing to me that four short years ago Kelt was that same size. He has grown so quickly and into such a great little boy!

Mom & Dad

I have to tell you how thankful I am for such a wonderful husband! He is my best friend. I am thankful for the way that he leads and guides our family! I feel safe, protected and cared for because of his efforts! I don't know what I would do without him!

Happy Halloween

This year Kelt couldn't wait to go Trunk or Treating. He has been asking me for weeks!! Once we got to the Church Kelt was gung ho and ready to go. But the people in the masks scared Nohea so she wouldn't leave my side! So I stayed and passed out the candy and Matt went with Kelt. Here are some of the pictures from before.

The boys decided that they were going to be hunters. Aren't they cute!

Nohea is beautiful as Cinderella!

For a fun activity I had them decorate their candy bags!

Mr Smiley Pants

I just thought you would like to see Creed's Smile! You can't help smile when he smiles at you!

Hunting

A few weks ago Matt bought Kelt his first bow and arrow. So last week they went for their first hunt and my mighty hunters came home with their first kill! Two turkeys! They were delicious. We had Fried Turkey with Potatoes and Gravy, and tonight we had turkey tacos. Here is a picure of their first turkeys.

Update on all 3

If you were to meet Kelt at the grocery store or at a restaurant he would tell you "Hi, my name is Kelton. I am 4 years old and I can ride my bike with two wheels." It is his little bio. People just love it!

A few weeks ago Matt was home from work sick and since Kelt had been asking him for a little while to teach him to ride his bike without training wheels he jumped at the chance. No more than 15 minutes later I went outside to get some pictures and he was already riding like a pro! I couldn't believe my eyes!

Nohea is talking up a storm. She still has her own little language but I am starting to understand her better. She is always singing. Her favorite two songs are "Happy Birthday to you" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Sometimes she sings them together "Happy Birthday Twinkle Star!" It is so Cute!

She is 95% potty trained. We are still working on the Poop Factor. If anyone has any tips for little girls let me know!!

Creed is Mr. Smiley pants! I love his smile and his laughter is contagous! He is a great little sleeper. Only waking once every night and going to bed at 6:30!! You've got to love that!

It only took a Year and a Half!!

After a year and a half of dirt we finally have a yard!! A friend from church took some grass out of his yard and sold it for sod. We were able to cover the front 500 square feet with ready made grass. It is so beautiful. We are still waiting on the grass in the back yard. Here are some pictures!!

The First day of Pre-School

This morning Kelt was up bright and early, at 5:55, dressed in his uniform and ready for his first day at preschool. So eager and ready to learn. Every five minutes he was asking me how much longer it would be till we left the house. I made him, his favorite, Rice Pudding for breakfast, and he loved it. After breakfast we were sitting on the couch and I was asking him questions about how he would act at school. If he would raise his hand when the teacher asked a question, if he would be nice to the other boys and girls and make good choices. I was sitting there with Creed on my lap and as I looked at him I couldn't believe how big of a boy Kelt has become. I almost started crying. He took his lunch out of the fridge and we were on our way.
At school we checked in with Aunite Elsie and made our way to Class Room #1. There we met Mrs. Feather (who kelt now tells me that he loves). He watched the fishes with Nohea for a few minutes then decided that he wanted to put together a puzzle with the other kids. He picked out a colorful puzzle of South America. I told him that I would have to go in a few minutes and he wanted me to stay. About 45 seconds later he said "Mom I'm ready for you to go now." I walked to the car with one less child.
When I got home from my walk I got a call from Anna, the Preschool Director. At first I couldn't figure out if she was calling all the parents on the first day or if Kelt had done something. Come to find out he had been stung by a Whasp on the playground. She just wanted me to know before I got there. When I arrived he was playing a matching game with a new friend. He didn't cry about the Whasp until I asked him about what had happened.
He is going to love going to school he is already ready to go back fro another day!

Trying to Walk my Butt off!

For the last 4 weeks my friend and I have been walking every day! We average 4-6 miles per day, pushing 4-5 children up an steady incline. It is quite a workout! You should see some of the looks we get and hear some of the comments. Some not so nice like "There is the cause of world hunger there!" But we keep going. We have now reached 90 miles!!

Watch them Grow!

This last weekend we went to the park. It was our first time to this particular park since Kelt was 3. It is really big with lots of different slides and it looks like a big castle. I dont take the kids there because it is impossible to keep an eye on them and it would be really easy for them to get hurt but since Matt was going I figured it would be easy to keep track of them. Boy did they have some fun! There is a big corkscrew slide (that is dark inside) and kelt just loved it. He learned that if he slides down the slide on the side of his bottom he would go faster (Leaning instead of sitting straight up). As he is telling Matt and I this I look at Matt and ask him if he had explained that to Kelt. He said that Kelt figured that one out on his own! He just keeps getting smarter and smarter.
Some of the slides were really steep and usually Nohea is a little aprehensive about going down the slides by herself. But before long she was sliding with the big kids.
I wish I would have taken the Camera - I will next week. But here are some pictures from this weekend anyway.

The Kids

Here are some new pics of the kids!!

The Garden

We have planted our first garden. (I feel so provident) It may be a little container garden but I feel like the harvest is going to be huge! Granny helped us pick out things that would be easy to grow (so we dont kill it all).

There are pots full of tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, squash, raddishes, green onions, beets and peas.

Every day we go out and check the progress. It is fun to watch the growth. With water and the constant warm weather - everything just grows like crazy!!
